“Armand Corporation endowed a Scholarship in Civil Engineering at Rowan University in October 2016.  Since then, the Endowment has awarded five scholarships totaling $14,550.  The fund provides essential financial support to deserving students in the Rowan University Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering.

Barbara Armand Kushner served on the Rowan University Board of Trustees from 2006-2010.  In November 2016, Mrs. Kushner was a guest speaker at the Scholarship Reception and Dinner, a gathering of over 130 donors and their student recipients.  In May 2017, she was the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering Commencement speaker and received an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree.”

Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering

Since its founding in 1995, the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering has earned regional, national and international recognition for its unique approach to preparing future engineers through interdisciplinary, hands-on learning. Most recently, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rowan University’s undergraduate engineering program #17 for 2021 among colleges in its category, a four-place bump in just one year. Additionally, U.S. News ranked Rowan’s Mechanical Engineering program #13 in the nation and its Electrical Engineering program #16 among colleges in its category.

The College’s Bachelor of Science programs in biomedical, chemical, civil, environmental, electrical, computer and mechanical engineering have been accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) since 1999.

Armand Corporation Endowed Engineering Scholarship: Update

The Armand Corporation Endowed Engineering Scholarship was established to provide financial support in the form of scholarship awards to students with demonstrated financial need, with first preference given to students majoring in Civil Engineering with an interest in pursuing Construction Management as a profession.

Since the 2017-18 academic year, five recipients have received $14,550 in support.

Your Legacy

Barbara Armand Kushner served on the Rowan University  Board of Trustees from 2006-2010. In October 2016, she generously contributed $50,000 to the Rowan University Foundation to establish the Armand Corporation Endowed Engineering Scholarship. The fund provides essential financial support to deserving students in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. In November 2016, Mrs. Kushner was a guest speaker at the Scholarship Reception and Dinner, a gathering of over 130 donors and their student recipients. In May 2017, she was the Henry M.
